Rolling the Roof Off of the Bent Nail Observatory

We finished the installation of the opener for the roll-off-roof! Now anyone (including me) can open and close the observatory with ease.

We used a gate opener which uses a gear to push the cogs on these tracks.

It uses magnetic sensors to determine when to stop. We created 3D printed magnet mounts in order to have correct placement because- surprise, a roof is not a gate.
